Are you ready for adventure?
Ecodex is an animal-themed card game that you can use to play Go Fish, Old Maid or Top Trumps style games (instructions included). The original Ecodex: Scotland deck features 44 hand-illustrated animal cards packed full of incredible facts and statistics. There is also a Garden Safari expansion available, adding 16 more minibeasts to the party!
Play with the cards, and then go exploring and discover the animals for yourself, ticking off each card as you go!

What’s in the deck?
The main Ecodex pack (based on the animals of Scotland) is a 52 card deck, mostly taken up with 44 hand illustrated animal cards. These are split into 11 habitats with 4 animals in each: Town & City, Park & Garden, Coastline, Wetland, Grassland, Woodland, Pine Forest, Freshwater, Marine, Mountain and Moorland.
There’s also a ‘Lost in the woods’ card which you can use to play Old Maid, 4 habitat reference cards, and 3 blank cards so that you can draw Ecodex cards of your own! Each deck comes with a full set of instructions for all the games too.
The Garden Safari expansion boosts the deck even further with 16 new minibeast cards, and a brand new lost in the woods illustration!
The Story So Far…
Ecodex began life as a birthday present for my godson, but it really kicked off (badum tsch) when I took it to kickstarter. We were fully funded in 10 days, and ended up reaching 150% of our target! Check out the video below to find out more about the game….
